My Poor Boy

Well here is my son, Tyson has been told this week that he has asthma and he has to stay away from all of the animals. That includes the horses, 4 cats, and the 3 dogs that we have. And in this picture these are my sisters dogs, Callie and Willow. We knew he had allergies to some animals, but it has gotten worse and he had a asthma attack on Monday. He is now on 2 puffers and some liquid steriod for a few days. He's been home resting. Today he is feeling much better but the last few days have been awful and scary. I had no idea this is what was going on with him. I felt like a "bad mom". My dr assured me that I wasn't and it will get better in time. We just need to watch him. He hates the fact that he has to stay away from all of our furry friends. He fed the cats every day, let the dogs out of the kennels whenever I asked him to. But no more. I have been feeling alot of guilt since Monday. But Trev told me to quite beating myself up. I'm trying to get past this. Mom left yesterday, so I'm feeling down about that as well. I hate when she has to leave. But she will be back in less that three weeks for xmas. Since xmas is only what 4-5 weeks away. OMG that is too soon. Anyways, that is the update for now. My head is pounding, so I shall go.

This picture makes me laugh. This was in August, my mom is a smoker so she goes out on the deck and it wasn't very nice out this day. From the side she looked like a "rapper" I just had to post this pic. Don't worry she doesn't read my blog. She'd probably kill me if she saw this. giggle giggle! Still here

The shepherd is my handsome guy, Koda. He's 3 months old. The rotti's are Bear (red collar ours) the other one is Tiny (brother in laws). These 3 have been keeping me very busy I tell ya. Amoungst other things. Sorry for not blogger for forever.

Last sunday I had a birthday. Didn't do anything, Trev was sick and I was right behind him the next day. Anyways, I will post more pics later in the week.

Here We Are

Well its been awhile, sorry. Finally got internet set up. Still no TV which kinda sucks for night time. Trev is busy with work so isn't home much. Hopefully that will change over the winter season.

So I'm still unpacking. It has been very hard doing it over the summer with the kids home. But next week my mom and sister are coming up and with the kids in school we should be able to empty the garage.

We are finally getting the front of the house dug up so we can level everything. We have tons of holes, bumps and rocks. Rocks everywhere. So then we can hopefully get the driveway poured before winter and I actually might get to park in the garage. Oh what a treat that will be for me. I've only had a garage once, for a year. I can't wait.

Well gotta go Miss Jordan has to go to the bathroom and cannot go alone. This big house is a bit scary to her. We are working on that. Chow for now.

Still Unpacking

Well I had to come into town to get my poor plants. So I have my kitchen all unpacked. Now I'm working on the kids rooms. Oh my what a job. Even thought I weeded out alot of stuff before the move, I am still finding stuff I can get rid of. It is never ending with the kids I tell ya. And the girls are fighting like crazy so I'm constantly trying to seperate the 2 of them.

I hinted to my mom to come up for a visit and to give me a hand but she hurt her leg. So that idea is out. Oh well I shall keep on unpacking.

Still no internet out there yet. grrrrrr I miss it I tell ya. We have no tv which is fine by me I'm getting alot more done that way.

We are moving!!

Yes can you believe it. We have taken 3 loads and hopefully will finish tomorrow. So we will spend the first night in our new home as a family. I cannot tell you how long I have waited for this. All the stress, tears and frustration has finally paid off. The kids are so excited. I even did a happy dance the other day when the neighbor was outside. He laughed. I will miss our neighbors in this whole court. We were so lucky that we lived in such a great neighborhood. We will miss them, as they have told us that they will miss us as well.

Not sure what will do with our computer, like email and my blog. But we will leave it hooked up here for a lit bit. We don't need to be out of this place till the end of July. So I will have plenty of time to clean it. Thank goodness because I tell ya it is a mess right now.

Well I have more packing to do, mostly all of the bins in the laundry room. They are all of the kids clothes that they need to grow into. (my SIL sends me alot). But not going to pack all day. Such a gorgeous day we will go and do something with the kids. Got to have a family day since we haven't done one for a few weeks. Have a great day all!!

One Load Taken.....10 or more to go!

Ok maybe not 10 more. But hey we are off to a good start. One load was taken today (a pretty big load I might add) and I have been busy packing away. Between packing and referring the girls I didn't do to bad.

I have to say over the years we sure have collected ALOT of stuff. I can't believe how much we actually have. It really is insane. But I have been weeding out alot. Taking alot to goodwill.

Not sure to what day we will actually be there permanently but I don't care as of now. One day at a time.

Busy, busy, busy!!

Well we are moving....finally. Don't know the actual day as of yet. But we are very close. I have been so busy this week its been insane. Between the kids finishing school, and packing. Oh my goodness its been crazy. But I have to say that I have a very dear friend who has been a huge help to me the past few months, and especially the last few weeks. I am so grateful for all of her help with the girls. You know who you are.

Well duty calls again. The 4th child is calling me.....my husband. lol. I will keep you all up to date. Chow.....

Last Night

So mom the kids and I were coming home last night from Ikea. At 9:20pm a truck in front of me pulling a large trailer was signaling to turn right. So I start to slow down. (we were on RR232 heading back to Sherwood Park) so we were doing about 70km. And the truck took his time ok fine. Then I see in my rear view mirror and my side mirror this idiot on a motorcycle come up very quickly to my back end then he pulls out on my right side to pass! Yes the right side where the big trailer is turning. My poor mom just about left her seat. I thought the guy was going to take out my side mirror. I slammed on the brakes (I wasn't going that fast thank goodness). Blew the horn and the guy swerved in front of the van then again to miss the red trailer. There is no way that he didn't see the huge red trailer in front of me. I don't know what he was trying to prove.

So I hit the gas and caught up to him and got the plate number just before he turned. Got home and called the RCMP and told the officer what happened. He told me to write up a complaint and fax it to him and he'd send someone out to write up a warning to the idiot. He asked if i wanted to lay charges and I said no but a warning would be fine. Hopefully the fool will never do that again. I can't imagine what would of happened if he would of hit the trailer. He would of gone flying. And the biggest part of this ordeal is that my kids were with me. I wouldn't want them to witness such a thing. I'm just so thankful I wasn't going any faster and that I actually saw him coming. It was awful. But the main thing is we are all ok. But I'm sure the guy driving the truck had no idea why I was blowing the horn. Probably thought I was giving him heck for turning so slow. Which I wasn't.

STRESSED HERE!!!

I am stressed, due to packing, whinny children, Trev's work, (or should I say my work since he's out of town....again I'm dealing with all the business stuff). And packing, I have company for a few days, (but that isn't very stressful). Trev will be home Sunday.

But mostly due to the office work stuff I'm dealing with right now. I'm still not 100% health wise yet. But better than last week.

Kids are done school next week, well 2 of them. One is already done. Oh and did I mention the phone ringing off the hook. But I can't leave it, I have to answer it. Grrrrrr. Ok I'm done gripping I'm going to have my tea and then we have to go to costco for my brother and my mom. (they are my company till Sunday.)

My Kids

So here's some pics of Friday morning before Madison went to school. I bought the girls these dresses over a month ago and had them hidden for a special occasion. They are so cute I was pleased that they fit them so well. They love to twirl with their dresses. I don't have to buy them dresses since I get so many from my SIL but they are going through a stage where they like to match. (and its great when we are out....easier to spot in a crowd if need be). Anyways, I got them this dress and I love it on them. I love Childrens Place!

Madison's Kindergarden Grad

Well my little girl had here last day of school on Friday. They had a very sweet celebration. You should of seen all the parents and grandparents. It was very nice. The kids sang for us. Then were presented with a bag of goodies along with their report card saying they passed into grade one. I was so proud of here. She has come so far in the past few years. She was so happy and her one teacher told me that every morning Madisons smile is what started her day. "if the world could look through Madison's eyes what a joy that would be". that almost made me cry. I video taped most of the ceremony since Trevor was out of town and I was the only one there. It was very special. ps. the pics are a bit blurry. I had to have the camera set on sports but still didn't take very good ones. Oh well what can you do.

June 13th....

Yesterday was the 13th of June. Two years ago yesterday my dad passed away. It is still hard some days. It doesn't feel that long. I still can't believe he's not here. It is hard just writing this. I'm kind of lost for words. I miss him alot, Tyson misses grampa. The girls will ask where he is. They were to young to understand. Well I really don't know what else to say.

Loving My Flowers

I planted my pots. I bought lots and lots of pansy's this year. Oh they are my favorite. I have more to plant. I will have to take pics this weekend. I plan on planting flowers at the acreage as well. There is a huge rock in front of our house and I want to keep it there and plant flowers around it.

Trenching everywhere

For what you may ask, I don't know. lol A guy is suppose to come out do more digging and fixing. What fun. I plan on going this weekend to plant some flowers. I have already planted lots of pots. Oh I cannot wait to be in this house!!!

For the septic tank

Here is Tyson on Sunday. (click on the picture and you will see it full page). Tyson had a ball. He took his dump truck and shovel and wagon. The girls....well they sat in the van watching a movie. They thought it was too cold. Tyson and I have been picking rocks around the acreage for a rock garden. And for around the house. We have found some cool ones. I will have to take a pic this weekend.

Anyways, we have all this dirt, sand, gravel and straw is also to be delivered sometime. I guess they need all this to do layers in the ground for the septic tank/mound.

This Sucks!

My husband has been away for 11 days, and probably another 4 days or so. He won't know when he's able to come home till probably Friday. And I am sick. Not just a cold, no a touch of the flu. No throwing up but fever, body aches sore throat and ears. And to top that off I got my period.

I have like a million things to do. But no energy. Yesterday I slept for over 2 hours, then sat on the couch and sipped my tea. I have so much packing to do. But what can you do.

And the kids, they are really having a tough time with dad being away, They are all worried he won't be home for fathers day. Especially Tyson. In fact he said to me this week, "dad should just move to Peace River since he's there all the time" and this "mom you should just,,,,like find someone else,,,like another man". I just about fell over. I swear I have never said anything like that in my life so I don't know where he'd come up with that one. He's really having a tough time with dad being away. He's so attached to dad. Every night he sits by Trev, glued to him every chance he gets. Poor guy. I told Trev and he couldn't believe it. I wanted to tell Trev so that he could talk to Tyson about it.


Oh and my family was suppose to come next week to stay with us (in the new house) but they have cancelled since we aren't in yet. There is no way they all could stay here, no room at all. So I'm sad about that as well. boo hoo for me.
So here we are Wednesday. And this weather isn't helping either. Gloomy weather makes people gloomy. I need sunshine maybe that is what I need. Anyways, I just wanted to gripe. But I will add a pretty picture with my gripe. These are my pansies. I love them they are so gorgeous.

Our Day at the Farm

Every year the "Reach Class" goes to Mrs. White's farm. This is such a great day. We are there all day. The kids have a blast. We see the sheep (click on the picture and you might see the crocked neck). We have a barbeque, the kids play, and play and play. The day was beautiful. It was so much fun.

Daddy Tired

This is my dear husband. He was so tired he didn't notice that Jordan gave him her teddy bear. He slept like this for at least a half hour. When he woke he was confused to what was in his hand. I told him that his daughter gave it to him. He thanked her. It was so sweet. (This was a few weeks ago). And right now I'm sure he's even more tired. He's been working out of town for the last week and not sure if he will be home this weekend or not. I love how my husband works so hard for his family. He hates being away from the kids for this long. Oh how we miss him!

Another Update

Well we have running water....yes that is important. And this week we should be getting the gas meter put in. We are getting closer. Still haven't heard about the counter tops, I need to call them today. I am spending this week doing some major packing and some major cleaning. The basement (in the new house) needs to be cleaned out. There is tons of stuff that has to be moved to the garage. So I must find a day to do that.

Yesterday I moved the kids little table and chair set some odd big and bulky toys that were taking way too much room in this basement. (they have been demoted to "outside toys"). And some winter jackets that were still hanging. I needed the room in the living room to put boxes that I have packed (or will be packed this week). Everything has been going to the basement,,,,,and I'm out of room. (doesn't help with the mother in laws crap) (another story).

Anyways, we will be in our house very soon. Oh I can't wait........to be continued.......

My Girls

Jane mentioned the girls matching outfits. Those were from my mom. Aren't they cute. My niece has the same outfit as well so when they come next month I will definitly take a picture. They are from my favorite store Childrens Place. I love love love that store. Good thing they don't have the store in Sherwood Park or I'd be in trouble.

And the girls want to be matching all the time right now. And I have to say that when we go out it is so much easier keeping an eye on them. Even last year they had matching bathing suits and that was a smart thing I tell ya. With all the kids in a pool it makes my life a lot easier. I will have to take a picture of the adorable bathing suits I just bought them last week.

And Jane tell Abby that I agree the carpet is nice and comfy. She will have to come and see for herself soon ok!

Update

Sorry readers, I was trying to post some pictures but for some reason not working for me. I will attempt again later. So we are getting closer. Yes I know it seems like forever doesn't it. We are waiting for the water to be hooked up. And the gas should hopefully be at the end of this week.

So I am starting to pack up more stuff. I finally packed all of the winter stuff up. And I am putting all of my winter wear away. (I have alot because I freeze all winter). I think we will be able to move some little stuff in the next week. I am (not so patiently) waiting to do this move. I'm so done with this house.

Our countertops are delayed so they've givin us just temporary ones till ours come in. Well kids are screaming for food so I guess I best be going.

Mom was here last week for just a week to help me out with the kids and be here for moral support. lol Ok on my last attempt here is a picture of the kids last week.

Miss Madison's new doo

Last week Madison wanted her hair cut. Which was a good thing. Her hair is so fine it mats so terribly that I was at my wits end. She has sensory issues with her hair and her head so brushing her hair was not done. And when it was done there was so much screaming and crying. It was painful in every way. So I told the hair dresser to cut it all off. But we didn't want her to look like a boy. So the hair dresser was so great she came up with this. I need to take a better picture but this was the actual cut done last Monday. She loves it and so does everyone else.

Hey everyone, well we are getting closer. The carpets went in on friday and they look awesome. I'd share pictures but for some reason I need to figure out why they didn't just down load. I'll have to figure out what happened.

Anyways today is Trev's first day off in 7 weeks. Yes can you believe that. Poor guy is exhausted. Not sure what we are going to do, but we will do something with the kids. They are so excited that dad is home. But the next few weeks will be busy. Another important project in the works;. I will blog more on that next week.

Just a quick update

Well we are getting there. The cupboards are now in. Painting is almost done. We have ran into some problems, and Trev was out of town for a week and a half. But we are on a roll now. The garage doors came in so there were going up yesterday. The next stage is the flooring. So hopefully we will continue on this roll.

Would you believe I forgot my camera yesterday. Yup I did. But I will go out again today and take pics. The kids are off school this week. That has been tough for me getting anything done. Tyson has been going out with grandpa every day in the afternoon so that has helped a bit. But the girls do well till a point. Then the scrapping starts.

So this is the update for now. Trev has givin me a estimate on the time of moving. About 3-4 weeks. Could be sooner but he wants it to be totally done before we move. Hopefully things will go smoothly from here on in.

No Time To Post

Well here I am again. It's almost been a week since my last post. Sorry I haven't been home much to do anything. Monday had a meeting with the principal, vice principal and teacher at school for Madison. (they did an assessment on her). Tuesday had to drive downtown to pick up something for Trev. Then had parent teacher interviews for Tyson. I had already had my meeting for Jordan last week. Today I have a meeting with the principal at Ministik school for the kids. But first I have to drive to the west end to pick up the railings for our house. Which works out fine since I am heading out that way.

Trev is gone to Peace River digging basements for the RTM's. The girls haven't really noticed that dad's gone. (kinda sad isn't it). But Tyson is definitely missing dad!

Last weekend I spent alot of hours cleaning the house. Mostly sweeping the dirt and dry wall dust, scrapping mud off the floor. Wiping the windows. Took me two days, I realized.....I'm gonna need a maid to clean this house its friggin huge! lol

Our cupboards are there but still in boxes. But of what I saw they are really nice! Oh I can't wait till this house is done! Would you believe when I was there Sat and Sun I forgot my camera....both days! I couldn't believe it. So I will take it today.

Long Week!

Here I sit 7pm and I just want to go to bed. I have had a ear ache off and on all week. Going to try and get into the doctor tomorrow. The last 3 days I have been running around for stuff for the house. That is exhausting. Can't believe its already Friday...well almost.

I'm excited to see the house this weekend all the casings are on the windows and doors outside. The plywood is down so the tiles can be started. (not sure when that is). Trev has to go out of town next week. That really sucks! So that puts a delay on the house. What can you do.

Just me and the girls are at home, Trev is still out at the house. Tyson went with grandpa and grandma to the dump with a load of garbage from the acreage.

Well the girls are at it again. So I better go and be the referee. Almost time for Madison to go to bed. She has a hard time going to bed (as most kids do) since its daylight.. Grrrrrrrr good night.

Venting Post of my Life

Ok where do I start? It's been a week since my last post. Trev is feeling better, finally, poor guy his back was a mess and so painful. But he's on the road to recovery!

Our siding guy decided last week that this job was too much for him. Trev flipped out. The guy wanted to get paid before he finished. Yeh right so you can not come back. Are we stupid? Trev told him that he's been in this buisness for many years and the guy knew what the job would be and that is wasn't an easy one either. Anyways, Trev handled it and the guy is almost done. Took him over a week more to finish the job!

Then had a mini flood in the laundry room. What a mess! Luckily none of our boxes got wet. (that is why I am packing long term things in rubbermaid bins). Then something was plugged. So couldn't use the dishwasher, nor the washer. And yesterday couldn't even do dishes my hand. But Trev finally fixed the problem last night.

Mom was sick last week, then I got it. Bad sinus cold. My glasses are bent for some odd reason. I have a rash under my boob. I don't think its shingles. (oh please don't let it be). Sawdust our dear donkey got into a fight with something she has fur missing on her behind. Poor thing. My mom left yesterday we all miss her so much already.

Um what else, oh the company the guys frame for just decided that they aren't needed any more framing done on houses at the moment. (Trev isn't worried there is always work). I think.....I hope that is it. So this is just a venting post. I will take a break and have my tea and later hopefully post some updated pics. Thanks for listening.

My Poor Husband!

Well Trevor has "shingles". It is awful. He has it across his shoulders, up the back of his neck on his chest. It looks horrid. It's very painful for him. He went to the doctor on Monday and has a prescription (that cost us $160). I think he got them Saturday. So this is day 5. I have been using surgical gloves and helping him. But it is just a horrible thing. The poor guy has been so stressed, over worked and so tired. Its no wonder this happened.

I have never seen anything like this before and hope to never see it again. This morning it had spread a bit more. My poor hubby. Send healthy vibes our way. Mom and I have a bit of a cold as well. What a house hold we have lol.

Yes this is it as of today. Can you believe it! I can't. The taper/mudder is doing a good job and Trev is happy with the work. Hopefully the walls will be primed this week.

Good News!

Well my doctor called me a half hour ago. The biopsy was fine. Oh my goodness what a relief! I can't tell you how relieved I am. I was almost having anxiety today. Haven't slept very well the past few nights. The waiting was the worst. But I am so grateful.

My Day Today

I had to do some errands today so we all went. Mom me and the kids. (no school today) We had to go and pick up Trev from the job site. We had to confirm our siding order and color. Then we did another errand (all of us) then off to Tim's for coffee for all the guys. Then back to the job site, drop Trev off. Then off towards downtown. But mom suggest we stop for the kids to go pee. Good call mom, right when we pulled up to the parking lot at yet another Tim Hortons Jordan said she had to pee. I stayed in the van and the other two said they didn't have to go.

So we headed downtown. Ran into road construction so took forever. Finally got to the office I had to go to. Dropped off the paperwork I had. Then headed home. Tyson was complaining of a headache. Jordan and Madison were hungry. (we had packed snacks for the kids but they wanted cheese burgers from MacDonalds. So got back to Sher Pk and went to the drive thru. Where the girl totally screwed up our order. Got home.

Then Tyson was looking at me trying to tell me something and he power puked (yes there was power behind it). Oh it was everywhere and oh was it gross. So had to clean up that mess. Mom MIL and me.

So yesterday I was very sore, today just a little. Trying not to think about it actually. Still have a 4-5 day wait. And am I bruised on my boob. Oh my goodness. So Jane I'm ok, just trying to keep a positive attitude.

My Mom, My Hero

Well mom has been so great today. She packed about 5 more boxes, helped out with the kids while I was gone. Fed the kids supper, helped get them to bed. She is after all "mom" and I love her so much. I'd be lost without her right now. I'm tired and sore so I'm off to bed. Hope I can sleep tonight. I tried to nap this after noon, but couldn't sleep. Good night.

A Little Scared.....

Well how do I start this. Didn't even know what to title it. Yesterday I went for my 1st mammogram. Well something showed up. So they had to do a ultra sound on the left breast. And they found a pea size spot. I was quite shocked. Didn't know how to respond to this.

Anyways, they were able to get me this morning for a biopsy. So I am a little sore and I'm suppose to take it easy the next few days. I will know probably Wednesday from my family doctor. So now I wait. I just pray that it is nothing. I'm just so grateful my mom is here to help me out with everything. She has been busy packing the last few days. She is so wonderful!

Well I should go just wanted to do this post. Take care all.

Not Good!

So yesterday I went out to the acreage with the kids. Trev didn't go out on Saturday because it was too cold to do anything. So was he in for a shock. The drywallers did a HORRIBLE JOB! They did the 2nd floor and there were rooms started and not finished. The master bath hadn't been done yet they did all the outer walls. Trev said they'll never fit the sheet in. It was a builders nightmare. And Trev did his homework before he hired these guys. There were just so many things done wrong.

So this morning he called the guy and told him he had two choices, quit now and not be paid, or do the job right (only on the 2nd floor) and get paid and then leave. They are not doing the main floor. Poor Trev he was trying to fix things, only because they wanted to blow the insulation into the attic yesterday. He didn't get home till after 10 last night.

You have to know my husband. He takes such pride in his work when doing anything so this was so disappointing to him. So now I don't know what happens next. The guy said he'd call back.

Trev is now back to framing out in Summerside so he doesn't have time for this crap. But I don't know what happens next. This will push back out move in date for sure.

Big Day Tomorrow!

Yes it is, my mom flies in from Saskatoon. And I am so thrilled. I can hardly stand it. The kids have no clue, and I so want to tell them. But seeing the look on their faces will be way better. She is coming to help me pack. I call her a professional because of all the moving she has done, as well as me. She and dad have helped me alot in almost every move I've made since I have been in Edmonton. And she has also helped my sister once or twice.

But I told her this is our last move for a very very very long time. (it better be). The dry wallers were there today and the tapers start next week I believe. Oh its getting closer. Ok I hear alot of screaming, not sure if it is play or fights. Better go and check it out. Chow

We're off

Well just getting ready to go out to the acreage. Weather is a bit better. And the house is actually not bad for warmth. It is now all closed in.

Mother in law annoying me today, she's telling me I should start packing, I will have to go out to the acreage and help out when my mom is here. And some other crap. Go away is all I want to say. She can be sooooooooooooooo annoying!!!

Ok thats my gripe for the day. Gotta fly. Have a good day everyone.

So Yesterday

I went out to take some pics and the guys were there unloading the drywall. Oh it was cold, and it was exciting. I went over and saw the horses. Poor things were covered in snow so I brushed the snow off all of them. I think that made them happy. (they wouldn't tell me). Thankfully we have a shelter for them, we will be building a barn eventually. Anyways I shall post some pics! So the hole in the wall of our house had to be cut because it was the only way to get the drywall on the 2nd floor. When I first saw the hole I thought what the heck we're putting another window in. Of course the guys laughed at me. (what do I know I'm just a girl).

And there is a pic of my new phone.....in the shower! lol not sure if I actually will use it but we will see. I took more picks but they are sideways, I need to fix that.
