Duck Tape

I got this quote from a website that I check out once in awhile.

"Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the universe together. -Carl Zwangzig

Now you'd have to know my dad a long time ago. He use to have tons of duck tape. (don't ask where he got it from lol) And the first time I moved away from home he made sure I had some. Not just one roll I had 2-3 rolls at a time. Now you may laugh but I used that duck tape! I always had duck tape in my house. The quote just made me laugh and made me smile and remember my dad. (whom I miss a lot).

Just had to share with who ever is reading.....

Can I just say

I am so done with winter......for goodness sakes and my sanity just go away. I'm done, done, done!
I think I will be ok.............

This is so cool!

This was on Fairmont street. The show is done every night with something different each time. I got to see 2 shows this night but only had my digital camera and wasn't sure how much room I had to record on. If you ever go to Vegas this is a must see!

video of the fish

Did this work? I will check it out.

fish in Vegas

These are pics of the fish that live at the hotel in Vegas. I should of taken more pics so you could see how long it really was. I have a video I will try and upload next. It was pretty neat to see. It was all located at the check in desk.

MY FAVORITE COLOUR----GREEN

I'm posting these pictures right now because I MISS green trees! I miss the smell of trees, flowers and the grass. I am so SICK of WINTER! I"M Done Done Done! I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Anyways, these pics are taken at the hotel. The Mirage has a beautiful area that is full of all kinds of trees and plants. I loved sitting and just enjoying the view. I love Palm Trees. They are a beautiful tree.

The Beatles "love"

My sister and I went to this show. CIRQUE DU SOLEIL. It was amazing. There were people on stage, up in the air. It was all done in the middle so there wasn't any bad seats. We enjoyed it. Something very different. I'd recommend going if you ever get a chance. From what I heard from other people there are about 4 different shows that the Cirgue Du Soleil does, if we had more time (and money lol) I would of gone to the water one. I still have the tickets but need to take a picture of them. I should of gotten my sister to take a picture of me in front the the cool lights. Oh well next time right. Ok I will blog more pics another time gotta go feed the children.

The Tigers

Because of the cool weather all of the animals were out lounging. They like this cool weather. The last picture is of the new leopard they have. I think he is 3 months old? Or was is it 6. Anyways it was neat to see all of them.

Dolphins at the Secret Garden

Here are some pics of the dolphins at the Secret Garden which is at the Mirage. Was it cold that afternoon. Yes I said "cold" only +10. (yes it was warmer than here at home....not the point)

M&M World!

This store was 4 floors and I couldn't believe the stuff. And not cheap by any means. All I bought there was a 5 pack of pencils for the kids for $4.00. And the belt (which is blurry) was priced at $50 american. Can you believe that.

View from hotel

I went to Vegas with my mom, and my sister. They both have been there many times. So this was my first trip there, anywhere in fact. Been years since I have been away without the kids. We stayed at the Mirage, a very nice hotel and my sister got a coupon believe it or not to upgrade our room. So we were on the 20th floor and it was a nice room. It will take me a few days to update my blog on this trip. So many pictures......more than 300 actually. Thank goodness for "digital" lol. In these pictures from our hotel room you can see the pool right below and then the 2nd pool of water is actually the "Secret Garden" where the zoo animals are. Dolphins, tigers, lions. I will post those pics later. The hotel is massive. I got lost the first day. Then the other picture you can see Ceasers Palace that is where the strip is. And you can see all the huge cranes. Many new hotels are being built. It is unreal to see some of them. One hotel is leaning...not sure if I have a pic of that one. But you could go online and see it. It is so cool. Heck Vegas is so Cool!

We left last Wednesday afternoon. Flight was delayed so didn't get there till.....ok no idea my mind has gone blank. Anyways we had 2 full days. Not enough to see everything. Flew out of Vegas around noon to Saskatoon. And I stayed there the night and came home Sunday night. Flight delayed a hour and a half ohh what fun. But thats ok I had a great time in Vegas!

Vegas Here We Come!

So here we are flying just above the clouds. It was still light above the clouds then all of a sudden someone hit a switch and it was dark. Here is Vegas from the plane.

The girls

Madison and Jordan played outside last Saturday, since the weather was finally bearable. I have 3 lawn chairs set up as a sign that we have 2 huge, round, cement lids so that when the skidoos are out they don't go over that area. We never got around to staking it out. So the girls decided to lounge around and take a break from playing. I thought it was cute.

ice sculpture & Bear

This is kinda cool. We have a pipe outside the house and water drips from it constantly, and we keep getting these huge sculptures. Its solid ice, Trev knows this because he just about broke his foot from trying to kick it down. lol I keep checking on it when it warms up ( which isn't very often in this province). I have manage to break it down a few times.

And I found a picture of Bear. This was a few weeks ago I believe so she wasn't quite 5 months yet. She too is growing very fast. But she's been a pretty good girl for us.

Kinda of neat

I took this picture of Jordan and Madison while they were dancing. Thought it was kinda neat on how it came out. Click on the picture to get it bigger.

My Boy

This is Koda, he is now 5 months old. We start puppy class on Friday. Because he's going to be so big I need to take him for some of the basics. He needs to be socialized more and he tends to jump up on everyone right now. So I'm hoping that this will help. He is really friendly once he meets people. I don't have a recent pic of the other dog. She wouldn't sit still for me. Bear is also 5 months old. I'm hoping to take what I learn in puppy class and just work with her at home.

Happy New Year Everyone!

Well here I am. Where did time go? No idea. Been so busy in the month of December it was crazy as I'm sure everyone was in the same boat.

We had a nice christmas my mom was here a week before christmas, then my brother, his wife and my niece came up on the 21st and my sister flew up on the 24th. And everyone left the 27th. (mom's birthday). Then I've been waiting on my dear husband. He somehow hurt his back and has been glued to the couch since the 24th. He is starting to feel a bit better. We've had to get him to see a massage theripts. He's had 2 treatments and has another one tomorrow. Poor guy, all this time off and he couldn't get anything done around the house. He had big plans. I feel for him. I just hope he takes it easy next week when they start back to work.

So new years we stayed home and our neighbors across the road had fireworks. The kids loved that. Tyson and Jordan actually stayed up and we watched the fireworks on tv at midnight. Madison didn't make it. She was out before 10pm. And new years eve is also Trev's birthday. So we had cake and ice cream and I bought him a few of his favorite magazines.

And then on Sunday Jan 4th is our 12th Wedding Anniversary. (although we've been together for much longer met in 1991 so that means 18 years together). Wow......

Well the kids are bugging me to do something so I best be going. I will have to find time next week (when the kids are back to school and download pictures). Take care all!
